Films of 2020


Disclaimer: not a lot of cinemas were open in 2020.
Not a lot of cinema visits, then.


1. Parasite
Believe the hype. The first 'Best Picture' Academy Award winner in a foreign language is a funny, biting, expertly staged and masterfully told upper class versus lower class pamphlet. Great stuff, Bong.

2. Little Women
Hm. Perfect casting aside, I wasn't entirely convinced by the merits of this Greta Gerwig update. Needs a second screening, perhaps.

3. Tenet
I couldn't make heads or tale of the plot. I understood nothing. Nothing at all. 'Nothing at all!' to quote Ned Flanders. Definitely needs a second screening.
